4 awesomely retro posters reinvent iconic Star Trek: TOS episodes

Back in August, we shared some vintage-style Star Trek artwork by illustrator Juan Ortiz, saluting the spacey original series. Here's the next batch, reimagining the Enterprise and its odyssey in bold new ways.

For this latest stunning set, Ortiz is inspired by the simple toys of childhood, the mature shades of autumn, '50s sci-fi classics and the trippy alt-universe of TV's Outer Limits. Episodes depicted for the next fantastic foursome are: "Charlie X," "Balance of Terror," "And the Children Shall Lead" and "Wink of an Eye."

The entire project is all part of an ambitious 80-litho series, one for each episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, released at the rate of four per month over the next 20 months and not created in chronological order.

Posters will be available for pre-order here and are offered as a set of plated-printed lithographs on 100-pound, satin-finish paper. Each print is 18x24 inches, and a set of four costs $34.95.

What do you think of Ortiz's vision? Any bare walls left in your Temple of Trek?
