1st photo from Texas Chainsaw 3D takes us out back

Lionsgate has started to roll out the promotion for next year's, Texas Chainsaw 3D. Last week, they released the first poster, and now they've unveiled an official still from the movie.

Does Leatherface still have it? His mask was the focal point of the onesheet, and now he's the subject of the first photo. He's holding his weapon of choice—a chainsaw—as he (possibly) stalks his prey. Texas Chainsaw 3D takes place decades after the original film and centers on an extended family member.

A young woman named Heather (Alexandra Daddario) learns that she's inherited a Texas home from a grandmother she never knew. She and her friends travel to the estate to discover a huge Victorian mansion. On the surface it looks like she's hit the jackpot. But she doesn't know the evil that's brewing in her cellar.

Texas Chainsaw 3D co-stars Tania Raymonde, Sue Rock, Scott Eastwood, Bill Moseley, Gunnar Hansen, Trey Songz, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry, Paul Rae and Richard Riehle. The film opens in theaters Jan. 4, 2013.
