This new fright flick should really be called Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Zombies. If you like your deadhead battles NSFW, with lots of F-bombs, furious firepower and TV's Jaime Sommers kicking ass, then check out this British bloodbath.
After the London Olympics wind down next week, there may be a lull in the excitement. That's when you need a decent dose of zombie mayhem to fill that void.
Cockneys vs. Zombies stars Michelle Ryan, Alan Ford, Honor Blackman and Richard Briers and premieres at the London Frightfest on Aug. 23 as part of the festival lineup. Director Matthias Hoene must have a serious sweet tooth for Guy Ritchie gangster flicks, and he pairs that East End lust with some classic head-bursting, brain-eating action. (And yes, anytime you can get the Bionic Woman targeting the walking dead on your assault team, that's a good thing.)
Warning: It's redband for a reason ...
Bloody like what you see? Cockneys vs. Zombies invades the world Aug. 31.
