TV THIS WEEK: Alphas gets some new blood, Warehouse 13 and more!

Who needs the Olympics? Alphas gets some fresh, new blood with girl power, courtesy of Erin Way, and Warehouse 13 sees the return of a beloved character to the action. Meanwhile, Terry O'Quinn pops up on Falling Skies.

Also this week, the kanima has a new master on Teen Wolf, Team Truth hunts for vampires on Destination Truth, Haunted Highway signs off, Bender searches for the meaning of life on Futurama, Paranormal Witness returns for a second season, the Mars Rover has a timely documentary with Martian Mega Rover, Fae politics continues to be a pain for Bo on Lost Girl, The Women of Doctor Who are featured in a special, Eddie McClintock takes on one ugly son of gun called the Boogeyman, and Bill tries to help the Authority with a little PR on True Blood.

Monday, Aug. 6



Warehouse 13 (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Personal Effects"

Steve's back in the action to go artifact-hunting the team, and just in time. It seems a box filled with artifacts is on the loose in a small town.

Alphas (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "Alpha Dogs"

New character alert! Erin Way joins the cast as Kat, a mysterious new Alpha with a powerful ability, who Harken and Hicks meet in an underground fight club for Alphas. Meanwhile, Rosen tracks Stanton Parish's past to 1864.

Teen Wolf (MTV) 10 p.m. - "Battlefield"

Oh, my! If you missed last week's killer episode, you've got a lot of catching up to do. In the penultimate episode, Scott has not only the championship lacrosse game to play, but he also has to come up with a way to stop Gerard. Elsewhere, Allison's hunt for Derek and his wolves continues.

Destination Truth (Syfy) 8 p.m. - "Vampire Monsters; Island of the Damned"

Team Truth heads to Transylvania to hunt something that is draining the blood from the locals' pets and livestock. Then it's off to a Swedish island for another investigation.

Season-one finale! The teams take on a paranormal investigation in an Old West ghost town in Idaho and a prairie monster in Montana.

Futurama (Comedy Central) 10 p.m. - "Free Will Hunting"

Bender searches for the meaning of life after learning that robots don't have the same free will as humans.

John and the team travel to probe paranormal activity at a Mississippi tavern and disturbing happenings in a woman's home in upstate New York.

Martian Mega Rover (National Geographic) 10 p.m.

Talk about good timing! The Mars Rover landed Sunday, and here's a documentary on how NASA developed the rover, Curiosity, at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. From Emmy-winning producer/director Mark Davis.




Friday, Aug. 10



Lost Girl (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "The Girl Who Fae'd With Fire"

Things get hot for Bo as she becomes ensnared in Fae politics while trying to save some important people. Meanwhile, Hale asks Kenzi for a big favor.

Terry O'Quinn alert! In the penultimate episode, the 2nd Mass arrives at Charleston and Tom is reunited with his former mentor (O'Quinn). Meanwhile, Maggie becomes suspicious that Pope is planning to leave the group.

True Blood (HBO) 9 p.m. - "Gone, Gone, Gone"

Eric continues to balk at the Authority's new direction, while Bill develops a public relations campaign that will explain the increase in vampire violence.
