Resident Evil: Retribution's gals are packing heat in 5 new photos

The ladies of Resident Evil: Retribution are locked and loaded. They appear in five new photos alongside series newcomer Leon. Watch out—because Jill, Ada and Rain are ready to kill now and talk later.

Resident Evil: Retribution will be a reunion for fans of the franchise. In the sequel, Alice (Milla Jovovich) rejoins Rain (Michelle Rodriguez), Carlos (Oded Fehr) and many more of her not-so-dead friends. We're the most excited about the return of Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory). She's the videogame heroine, who's been seriously underused in the movies.

In Retribution, the story will focus on the global impact of the T-virus outbreak. It will also dive into Alice's past, which for the most part has been hazy at best. With the future uncertain, it's no wonder everyone's strapped and ready for zombie action.

Here's the official synopsis:

The human race's last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Resident Evil: Retribution opens in theaters Sept. 14.
