Grimm starts strong, Falling Skies ends high + 33 other genre shows
Fall TV is officially here! This week Grimm was the first of our 2012/2013 season shows to return, and it had a very nice debut. Meanwhile both Falling Skies and Teen Wolf ended their seasons, and as it zeroes in on its own finale True Blood continues to rule Sunday cable.
You also might notice a slight change in formatting in the text below. Rather than mix all the canceled shows and shows on break with currently airing shows, we've put them in handy lists. So at the end of each day you'll see lists of canceled shows that used to air on that night and shows on hiatus that aired their previous seasons on that night. We'll be updating those lists with return dates for all of the hiatus shows as we know them, so you can find out at a glance when your favorites are coming back. And of course, as those shows return, we'll add them to the active shows.
Check out our chart and commentary for more on how your favorite shows are doing in Live + Same Day viewers and rating.
MONDAY
Teen Wolf (MTV)1.7 million viewers/0.8
Teen Wolf finished its second season strong Monday, though not quite as strong as its first season. It broke even with its numbers from the week before, which is more impressive when you consider that Monday Night Football is back at the top of the nightly cable pyramid. We'll see it again next year.
Warehouse 13 (Syfy)1.56 million viewers/0.5
Warehouse 13 suffered the least-watched episode of its new season so far Monday, but it still put up pretty good numbers. As football season kicks in, some of the Monday and Sunday shows will no doubt be adjusting as some viewers move over to watch the games. We'll just have to wait and see if this one can keep up its pace.
Alphas (Syfy)0.98 million viewers/0.4
Alphas hit an all-time low in viewers Monday, but it's not time to panic. The show's still relatively solid, and there's always a chance for a rebound.
Grimm (NBC)5.64 million viewers/2.0/5 share
Grimm kicks off its second season with a move from Friday nights to Monday nights, and it seems to be paying off. The fairy-tale-inspired drama earned its highest viewership since Jan. 20, plus a solid rating and share score. Things might be different when more new shows start returning in a few weeks and it has more to compete with, but for now Grimm is riding high.

Wilfred (FX)1.05 million viewers/0.5

Falling Skies (TNT)3.84 million viewers/1.4
Falling Skies finished strong Sunday night, closing out its second season with its highest viewership since the season premiere. It was still far behind where season one left off, but despite most of the season trending that way the show still performed well, finishing consistently as one of Sunday's top shows.
