Thrones finally casts pivotal role of Wildling leader Mance Rayder

The Wildlings have found their leader! Or should we say, Game of Thrones has finally cast him? Mance Rayder, who's so far been sight unseen, will be played by a very familiar face.

Ciarán Hinds has landed the coveted role of Rayder aka The King Beyond the Wall. During the final moments of Game of Thrones season two, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was on his way to meet the mysterious leader. But before you knew it, the episode was over and we were left hanging. There was no meeting. And his face remained hidden—until now.

Hinds is one of the hardest working men in the industry. He's a stage, TV and film actor, who recently wrapped a stint on the USA drama Political Animals. Before that he starred as Tardos Mors in John Carter and as Aberforth Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsPart 1 and 2.

Game of Thrones season three will premiere March 31 on HBO.

What do you think of Hinds as Mance Rayder? Can you see him as their leader?
