Batgirl cracks skulls in fun trailer for new fan web series

Most comic geeks know Bat-chicks Barbara Gordon and Cassandra Cain. But Stephanie Brown? There's little love for the third Batgirl. As tribute to the blond brawler, adoring fans assembled this awesome teaser for a webseries. Does she deserve the spotlight? You bet your cowl.

In the fickle world of comics, identity and recognition are everything. Poor Stephanie Brown, who assumed the Batgirl mantle in the Bryan Miller comics from 2009-2011, never truly caught fire with fans and was dumped last year. Barbara Gordon's paralyzed Oracle character, after an experimental surgery in South Africa returned her mobility, was rechristened Batgirl in DC's recent New 52 campaign.

So here's golden girl Stephanie Brown in cape-snapping, head-butting action once more, with cameos by a motley crew of Gotham City favorites like the Riddler, Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

Now do you miss her?
