Last week, we caught our first glimpse of Hugh Jackman on the set of The Wolverine, and we were a bit surprised to find him with a little less hair than we're used to. Now Jackman's been spotted again during shooting for the flick, and he's got more hair ... a lot more hair.
Loads of Australian fans got a glimpse of Jackman (who even apparently signed a few autographs) out and about while shooting for the flick in the Australian town of PIcton, where crews transformed a city street into a wintry landscape and even added some signage. Jackman himself sported a full beard and a long, tangly mop of hair, giving us a very different version of Wolverine than what we saw last week. So what's with the mountain man look? We don't know for sure, but we can guess.
Over at Comic Book Movie, it's been pointed out that the setup bears a strong resemblance to one of the earliest sequences in Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's classic Wolverine miniseries, which the film is said to be at least partially based on. In the scene, Wolverine is on the trail of a killer bear in the Canadian Rockies. When he finds the beast, he notices it has a poison-tipped arrow embedded in its body, which turns out to be what caused it to go crazy in the first place. Using his keen sense of smell, Wolverine tracks the hunter responsible to a bar in a nearby town and ... has words with him.
Is that what we're seeing here? Well, it certainly looks like Wolverine's been out in the wilderness, and there is a bar, as well as a sportsman's shop, which suggests that quite a few hunters might be around. What do you think? And what do you think of all that hair?
