Babylon 5 creator joins Will Smith and Sam Raimi for 2 TV series

He may have created one of the greatest sci-fi series of all time in Babylon 5, and kept busy with comic and film projects in the years since, but don't expect J. Michael Straczynski to rest on his laurels. In fact, the sci-fi guru apparently has two new TV series in the works.

Straczynski recently had a sit-down with Deadline to talk about his new production house, JMS Studios, and revealed two new TV concepts with some big-name partners —Sam Raimi and Will Smith.

At Starz, Straczynski is teaming up with Raimi for Vlad Dracula, a series that would follow the famed bloodsucker's life. Spartacus creator Steven S. DeKnight is also involved.

A series called Epidemic is also in the works, with Will Smith and James Lassiter's Overbrook Entertainment. We don't know much more than the title, but a series built around an outbreak could be interesting.

But it doesn't stop at TV. Straczynski is also bringing his Joe's Comics imprint back to life, with series Falling Angel, Ten Grand, Guardians and Sidekick coming in the spring of 2013.

Which of these projects has you most excited?
