MTV doubles down on Teen Wolf for a super-sized 3rd season

The small-screen remake of Teen Wolf has found solid footing the past two seasons at MTV, so the network has decided to double-down for a super-sized third season of the werewolf teen drama.

Teen Wolf will return next season with 24 episodes—doubling the 12-episode orders of the previous two seasons. That's the biggest episode order in history for a non-reality show at MTV, and it's the first scripted prime-time show at the network to make it to a third year.

The wolfie drama was the number-one show in its time period among teens during its first year, and it currently draws about 1.8 million total viewers each week.

In a release, MTV programming head David Janollari said the decision was a no-brainer:

"Teen Wolf represents a terrific foray into the scripted world for the millennial MTV audience, and marks tremendous success in the continued diversification of our schedule. Renewing the show for a third season celebrates the creative vision of executive purodcer Jeff Davis and the remarkable talent of the cast who bring this bona fide fan favorite to life."
What do you think? Are you glad to see double the wolfie goodness next season?
