Jessica Biel joins Wolverine—but which mutant will she be playing?

The new Wolverine sequel has added a big name, with Jessica Biel on board to portray a certain mutant alongside star Hugh Jackman. So which classic Marvel character will Biel be playing?

She has signed on for the character of Viper, who has been an antagonist for both X-Men and The Avengers over the past few decades. The character is a skilled fighter and great strategist.

According to Deadline, the role will be a "juicy" one, as Viper is expected to play a fairly large role in the follow-up to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Interesting side note: Though it's her first time taking on anyone from the X-Men universe, Biel previously had a role in Blade: Trinity as Whistler's daughter.

Sound off: What do you think of the news? Will Biel be a good fit for the X-Men?
