Get ready for more Sookie: HBO renews True Blood

HBO brings new meaning to the phrase "Sookie, Sookie, Sookie." The cable network has given the green light to another season of its vampire drama True Blood. Get ready for another year of werewolves, fairies and nudity.

In an official press release, HBO confirmed that True Blood will be back for season six. The drama is only four episodes into season five, which has its fair share of ups and downs. Thus far, Sookie has been reeling from the consequences of her actions, Bill and Eric are being kept on a leash, and Pam's become a parent to her very first progeny.

When True Blood returns next year, they'll be a noticeable change behind the scenes. Creator Alan Ball will no longer be head honcho. He'll take a backseat as showrunner, spending most of his time focusing on other TV projects. What does that mean for Sookie and the rest of Bon Temps? We'll just have to tune in to find out.

True Blood stars Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Alexander Skarsgård, Kristin Bauer van Straten and Nelsan Ellis.
