Edgar Wright team with J.J. Abrams for mysterious new sci-fi film

What do you get when you combine Edgar Wright, J.J. Abrams and a mysterious new sci-fi project? We have no idea, but we're dying to find out.

After impressing sci-fi fanboys with his Ant-Man test reel at Comic-Con, Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) is now joining up with one of the genre's young heroes for a new sci-fi film dubbed Collider.

According to Deadline, Wright actually pitched the concept (which is currently unknown) and will direct the film. Wright is also co-writing the script with Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend).

J.J. Abrams has signed on to produce, so expect ample lens flare and likely success.

What do you think about the team-up? Are you looking forward to learn what Wright and Abrams are cooking up?
