Check out Karl Urban's promised Comic-Con sneak peek Trek 2 footage

A few days ago, Star Trek and Dredd actor Karl Urban promised us that we'd see some exclusive Trek 2 footage by the end of Comic-Con weekend. The actor kept his word ... and delivered.

Urban released the promised video on his YouTube channel (since he's the one releasing it), and we've got to say that it's not what everyone—including us—expected.

The Star Trek sequel "sneak peek" features Urban (who looks like he's having a blast) surfing both the waves and the buzz he no doubt created concerning the "exclusive" Star Trek sequel footage he promised.

Have a look:

True to his word, we do get to see some footage—right at the end of the video—of director J.J. Abrams with Trek 2 cinematographer Dan Mindel (on the left) and first assistant director Tommy Gormley (on the right) wrapping the Star Trek sequel in front of a green screen.

It was apparently shot on Urban's phone, thus making it indeed "exclusive" footage from the highly anticipated sequel to 2009's Star Trek film.

So what do you guys think of Karl Urban's "exclusive" (and rather cunning) "Star Trek 2 footage"?
