Game of Thrones fans have been dying to see a certain Westeros fortress ever since season two, but it sadly never made it into the storyline—until now. Because in season three, we're finally going to Riverrun, and we've got the first "fishy" set pics to share with you.
These few photos, apparently taken from the set of Game of Thrones season 3, were sent over to HBO Watch, which believes they are definitely associated with the fortress of Riverrun—the mighty seat of House Tully—into which Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley) and her batshit crazy sister Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie) were born.
This season, two more Tully family members will finally make their long-awaited appearance on the series: Edmure Tully—Cat and Lysa's younger brother—played by Rome's Tobias Menzies and who happens to be the brand-new Lord of Riverrun; and their uncle, Brynden "The Blackfish" Tully, played by Clive Russell.
Though HBO Watch can't 100% confirm the validity of these pics, their source apparently gave some indications that they were indeed reliable.
We also happen to believe these pics to be legit since the Tully sigil is a silver trout on a red and blue background and, as you can see, they're also flying the Tully standards.
We know it's only a tiny glimpse of the mighty fortress of Riverrun, but what we're seeing right now looks cool enough to us and we can't wait to see more.
Are you guys excited about finally seeing Riverrun and the rest of the Tullys in the upcoming season three? What do you think of those pics?
