We recently got our first peek at Marvel's new Avengers short film Item 47, and now we have the first piece of promo art—and it seems the alien battle left a few toys behind.
Showing off an alien blaster in the center of some Manhattan wreckage, the poster seems like a perfect setup for the Bonnie and Clyde-style flick.
Item 47 follow a couple of young thieves, played by Lizzy Caplan (Party Down) and Jesse Bradford (Flags of Our Fathers), who happen across an alien weapon left over from the Avengers' battle in New York. Once they get it working, they use the weapon to hit some banks and make some cash.
Of course, a pair of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are on the case, with Titus Welliver (Lost) and Maximiliano Hernández (Thor) in hot pursuit to recover the lost item.

The 12-minute short film is one in a series of proposed minis and will debut at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. It will also be bundled on The Avengers Blu-ray release.
Do you like what Marvel is doing with these short films, or do you wish they'd just focus on the big releases?
