Watch the nostalgic trailer for Star Trek Federation: The First 150 years

Just when we thought we'd seen all the awesome Star Trek collectibles one franchise could possibly contain, something like this comes along: nearly 200 pages of documents, illustrations and artifacts chronicling the first 150 years of the United Federation of Planets. And best of all, it's about to go on sale.

Titled Federation: The First 150 Years, the book is a chronicle of the century and a half that followed humanity's first contact with the Vulcans on April 5, 2063. From the construction and mission of the Enterprise NX-01 to the first clashes with the Romulan and Klingon empires, it's all here for the Trekkie in your life to enjoy, and it comes complete with a nifty stand that lights up and features audio recordings by Adm. Hikaru Sulu.

The First 150 Years started as a project on the Star Trek Wiki Memory Alpha, and now it's ready to boldly go where no coffee-table book has gone before. Check out the trailer below and you'll see why we're so excited about this volume.

Federation: The First 150 Years will be released Nov. 20. You can pre-order your copy here.
