Get in a Dark Knight Rises mood with 1st samples from epic score

We may have to wait until July 20 to see Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Rises, but we can at least check out the score that will accompany the film right now—and it definitely sets the mood for an epic Batman finale.

Though Nolan has obviously done a fantastic job with the Dark Knight series, a lot of the ambiance for the films can be traced to composer Hans Zimmer, who has scored all three installments.

With the soundtrack coming out soon, samples of each track from the score have been released online—and it definitely lives up to the bar set in previous films.

The tunes sound dark, gothic, heartbreaking and epic, which is everything we're expecting from Nolan's final outing with the Caped Crusader.
