Ammo company creates zombie-killing bullets to off the undead

In a sign that zombies are showing no signs of retreating from the social spotlight, an ammunition manufacturer has hatched a sure-fire winner: bullets specifically designed to dispatch the walking dead. And, we suppose, the walking living, too ... seeing as they are, you know, bullets.

In the wake of recent news items suggesting that zombies might be loose in Florida—and an ongoing public fascination with the undead—Detroit's Hornady Manufacturing has devised Z-Max Ammunition, designed to "make dead permanent." According to Hornady spokesman Everett Deger:

"We decided just to have some fun with a marketing plan that would allow us to create some ammunition designed for that ... fictional world. ... This is probably one of the only (product) launches that we've seen when people who are not in the hunting and shooting industry will go out and they purchase this."

I suppose it's not too late to run out and grab some for the zombie-hunting dad in your life for Father's Day ... if he likes hunting fictional monsters with real guns.
