If you loved the supernatural drama Bedlam (which aired last year) as we did, then you're in for a treat—because there's a second season coming up with more spooks, more chills, more thrills and more ghosts.
Today we have two new promo pics—and a video—to share with you, and you'll notice the major cast change that took place between season one and the upcoming second two.
Departing is Kate, played by Charlotte Salt, who, if you recall, turned out to be a direct descendant of the people who ran the former asylum for years. She also happened to live and work in Bedlam Heights as well. As we know, it turned out to be a very, very bad idea. However, her dad, Warren Bettany, played by Hugo Speer, is still sticking around for more ghostly mayhem.
Also gone are Kate's roommates Ryan (Will Young) and Molly (Ashley Madekwe). Guess they've had enough of all the Bedlam ghosts carrying about their spooky business. We don't know about you, but we know we'd have skedaddled from there a loooong time ago.
Gone too is the piece of eye candy of the story, Jed (Theo James, Underworld: Awakening), who'd been freshly out of an asylum with a history of mental illness and who saw the ghosts of Bedlam Heights as well as being troubled by spooky visions. Poor dude had it hard. Oh, and he was also Kate's adopted cousin. Did we say he had it hard?
In their stead, season two will introduce Lacey Turner (Being Human U.K.) as Ellie, Gemma Chan (Sherlock) as an old friend of Kate's, and actors Jack Roth and Nikesh Patel.
Take a look at series 2 with this brand-new trailer:
Bedlam season two will start airing in the U.K. on Wednesday, June 6, for a brand-new six-episode run on Sky Living. Now let's cross our fingers that BBC America picks up season two real soon now, shall we?
So are you guys looking forward to more Bedlam? Do you find the cast change exciting, or are you disappointed by the major upheaval?
