As you guys know, The Avengers made a killing at the box office on its opening weekend—which in turn is making us even more giddy about all the other upcoming superhero projects (Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2 etc.) that Marvel has on its very busy plate. And Edgar Wright has decided to take advantage of this complete Avengers madness to start promoting Ant-Man.
Wright has been working on writing Ant-Man on and off with Joe Cornish (Attack of the Block) for a while now (a while = years, actually). But he took to Twitter over the weekend to post a photo of something he says he received in the mail that teases the fact that Ant-Man may finally be on its way.
Below is the very intriguing pic he tweeted with this mention: "Received this in the mail. What can it mean?"
Not too long ago, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige claimed that Ant-Man was closer than ever:
It's somewhere. I'll just say it's closer than it's ever been in its long maybe eight year history, and I usually e-mail Edgar every two or three days and over those eight years its got further away and closer... we are now closer than we've ever been. So I hope it will come together shortly.
What do you guys think? Is it only an interesting bit of promo fluff that means nothing, or do you believe Wright is indeed telling us that the long-anticipated Ant-Man movie is finally on its way?
