Listen, once I tell you the title of this Japanese import, you'll know immediately if this is the sort of thing you'd spend 90 minutes watching, or if it's the kind of movie that will send you screaming into the hills. I like to think that Japan's B-movie industry got stuck in 1986 and, rather than mature, just got more and more infantile. How else to explain this latest opus from director Noboru Iguchi, he of the carefully modulated indie darlings RoboGeisha and Machine Girl?
Whatever else you might think of the depravity you've just seen, you've gotta give Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead this much: It doesn't deal in half measures. It goes for it. And that's a virtue in and of itself.
