Though Tron: Legacy came out a little flatter than the experts predicted, all hope is not lost—we've finally gotten a new peek at the CGI series Tron: Uprising, which could bring us the sweet grid action we've been waiting for since the '80s.
The 10-part Disney XD cable series is slated to premiere in June. It bridges the gap between the original Tron and 2010's Legacy sequel.
Judging by the trailer, it looks to be action-packed and maintains the classic Tron look we know and love.
Though the teasers don't say much about the story, Tron actor Bruce Boxleitner, who is doing voice work for the animated project, recently told MTV News that fans can expect a hardened, more badass Tron than the classic '80s version.
"In this story, Tron is a much more battle-hardened warrior than you've seen before," he said. "It's like The Mask of Zorro, where he's looking for a young one to train and to have that master-student relationship."
Check out the new teaser below.
What do you think? Will Uprising fill that grid-shaped void in your heart?
