Look which Walking Dead guest star just became a season 3 regular

No character is guaranteed tomorrow in a show like AMC's The Walking Dead, but it seems at least one recurring guest star should be sticking around for most of season three. Can you guess who?

TV Line is reporting that Lauren Cohan, who plays Hershel's daughter Maggie, has been promoted to a series regular for the upcoming third season. Maggie started out just chewing scenery in early season two, but picked up a bit more screen time after brewing up a romance with everyone's favorite forager, Glenn.

But, Maggie fans, don't get too excited—recent season-two casualties Jon Bernthal (Shane) and Jeffrey Demunn (Dale) were regulars, too, and we all know what happened to them.

The third season premieres in October and should be the biggest yet, with 16 zombie-fighting episodes planned.
