It's Ripley vs. De Niro in trailer for psychic thriller Red Lights

Take sci-fi icon Sigourney Weaver, add Greatest Actor of All Time candidate Robert De Niro, throw in a little Cillian Murphy, mix it all together with psychics and paranormal spookiness and you've got Red Lights. It was one of the most talked-about genre pictures at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and now the first trailer is here to creep us out.

Weaver stars as renowned paranormal investigator Dr. Margaret Matheson, who has quite a reputation for traveling and debunking psychics the world over. But she may have just met her match in the form of blind psychic Simon Silver (De Niro), a legend of the paranormal who's just come out of a 30-year exile.

Matheson's assistant Dr. Tom Buckley (Murphy) urges her to launch the ultimate investigation into Silver and develops an obsession with the psychic as more and more unexplainable strangeness begins to surround him.

Directed by Rodrigo Cortes (responsible for the acclaimed Ryan Reynolds thriller Buried back in 2010), the film was picked up for distribution by Millennium Entertainment last week. No release date yet, but with a cast like this Red Lights is definitely a film to watch for.
