Salute the sinister with incredible early concept art for Batman: Arkham City

Just when you thought gaming's Batman Arkham-verse could get no cooler! Behold these raw conceptual images of the title's rogue's gallery drawn by Dark Horse artist Brandon Badeaux.

Badeaux has inked his distinctive stamp on many classic Dark Horse titles, like Gears of War and Star Wars: Rebellion. His character sketches bleed with incredible clarity and detail that served the finished game designers well. Each costume or suit displays an amazing level of imaginative functionality fused with their own twisted agendas.

In these Fab Five, we're treated to a goth-rock Harley Quinn with one of her hyena devil dogs (Is it Lou or Bud?), a GQ'd Two-Face packing a serious hand cannon, Catwoman grappling a wall in her sleek cyborg suit, a scary, sci-fi inspired Mr. Freeze and the decomposing bulk of Victorian zombie-villain Solomon Grundy. Fans of the Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games can thank the maker for design geniuses like this who've ratcheted up the badass bar.

Somewhere in all this epic artwork is someone's next radical geek tattoo about to be born. Any favorites?
