New Man of Steel set pic reveals some major superdestruction

We've been seeing photos leaked from the set of Man of Steel for a while now, but we've never seen anything like this before. Some superbeing got all destructive on the Superman movie set, and lucky for us, someone was close by to snap a photo of the aftermath.

No cast members in this photo, but the fan site Superman Homepage posted the photo this morning with the claim that it was taken during yesterday's filming . Yes, that is what you think it is: a logging truck with a log jammed right through its engine block.

It certainly looks impressive, and it's actually refreshing to find a massive set piece like this one that was put together with practical destruction rather than CGI. Obviously it's just one image, but this looks like a welcome sample of the super-battles Zack Snyder is preparing to hurl at us when his flick is complete.

Now the question becomes who's responsible for this mess. Was it Superman? Zod? Superman and Zod? We'll likely have to wait a while to find out, but at least we know major superhero awesome is going down on that set.
