Watch 1st ep of Who and Community-inspired Inspector Spacetime

After months of legal wrangling and a pretty ridiculous name change, the Community-inspired web series based on the Doctor Who spoof Inspector Spacetime is here.

The online shorts are inspired by the ridiculous glimpses we've seen in the irreverent NBC sitcom Community, and the Inspector has become a meme unto itself over the past year.

Oddly enough, the series was originally called Inspector Spacetime, but after the studio challenged the use of the name, the creators changed it to the much more descriptive Untitled Web Series About a Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time, which pretty much sums it up.

The first episode is the right amount of silly, and the effects work is more than solid for an indie effort. Plus, it even comes complete with its own Who-inspired opening credits. The only thing missing? Why, Constable Reggie, of course!

The short stars Travis Richey and is directed by Vince Talenti. The project was written by Richey and Eric Loya.

Check out the first episode below and let us know what you think.
