Over the past two weeks, we've been in American Horror Story hell. FX has been promoting the show like crazy, with no signs of slowing down. The series appears on the latest cover of Entertainment Weekly, and we've got a sneak peek at the crazy cast.
American Horror Story: Asylum centers on an institution for the criminally insane. It will be run by a priest and a group of nuns led by returning star Jessica Lange. But these aren't your typical deviants. Some of them are a little—otherwordly. Co-creator Ryan Murphy knows what people want, and he's going to give it to them.
"I don't think people tune in to the show because they want My Dinner With Andre. I think they want to be scared. I'm just writing what I would like to see. I'm scared of aliens and I'm scared of Nazis and I'm scared of nuns. So it's the perfect stew of horror and fear."
Did he say aliens?! American Horror Story just took it to a whole other level. It turns out that one of the patients, Kit (Evan Peters), "is committed after being accused of murdering his wife (played by Britne Olford), though he claims she was abducted—and not by humans." Hmm, we've heard that story before.
Speaking of the characters, EW has released 10 photos from the new season, giving us our first look at the asylum staff and inmates.
