Lost star cast in not one but TWO Thor: The Dark World roles

The God of Thunder has his work cut out for him. In Thor: The Dark World, not only will he battle Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston), but he'll tackle some Dark Elves, too!

According to Variety, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast in the duel roles of Algrim the Strong and Kurse. In the comics, Algrim was one of the most powerful among the race of Dark Elves. He was coerced by Malekith to kill Thor, but their fight didn't go as planned.

Algrim was betrayed by Malekith and left to die. After sustaining serious injuries, he lost his memory and transformed into a more powerful being called Kurse.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje will join returning stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Stellan Skarsgard, Rene Russo and Kat Dennings.

The actor has previously appeared in The Mummy Returns, The Bourne Identity, The Thing (2011), and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. But he's best known for his small screen roles as Mr. Eko on Lost, and Adebisi on HBO's Oz.
