Schwarzenegger says he'll be back for TWO Terminator films

Hear that deafening clank? It's Arnold Schwarzenegger bulking up with beefy kettle bells for his role in the new Terminator 5 ... AND 6 movies. And a double dose of the Austrian Oak getting into some serious Skynet action makes us break out in a cold sci-fi sweat.

Back in April of last year, we told you about the former Governator diving into a new Terminator movie with Fast Five director Justin Lin attached. Now it seems his participation in the project has doubled.

This week, Arnie told the Action Effects blog he was prepping for an iron-pumping training regimen for the ages, possibly reprising his cybernetic role in twin sequels ...

"I can't say too much they want it held in secret if you know what I mean, but I will say that next year I will start filming it and it's going to be one of the hardest films I have ever done I can tell you that already for sure", Schwarzenegger said "... they have six months set aside just for filming, so I will be training and getting into the best physical shape I possibly can before filming starts. It does follow Salvation although some of the producers and franchise owners were not too happy about the job McG did with it but they felt it was good enough to continue on and they want the fifth and sixth installments to be the closing of the franchise."

No word on who will command this next evolution in the Terminator saga with Lin bolting for Fast 6, but with Schwarzenegger on board in any capacity its future looks bright. Whether he'll be powering up as a T-800 or some other entity is unknown, as Annapurna Pictures, which owns rights to the franchise, is still forging ahead in its script development.

Either way, Arnold will be ready in 2013. No pain, no gain.
