See tons of new footage in 4-minute Amazing Spider-Man trailer

A mega-trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has been released, showing off a ton of new footage from director Marc Webb's Peter Parker reboot—including a breathtaking rescue from a burning car hanging off a bridge.

We finally get to see a little more of the new Spidey in action, with a big chunk of a rescue scene kicking off the trailer. Andrew Garfield is in full-on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man mode, and he nearly loses a kid while trying to save him from a flaming sedan.

The rest of the trailer is cut with bits we've seen before, but the extra snippets do give some more context to the origin story with Peter Parker's parents.

Call us cautiously optimistic, but this latest trailer looks pretty darn good. The Amazing Spider-Man opens July 3.
