That super-secret Avengers scene might not be a scene at all

The Internet nearly broke when Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) mentioned that the Avengers gang was getting together after the world premiere last week to film a new scene, and now we finally have a few more details about what the heck is going on.

In an interview with the folks over at Blogomatic3000, Marvel Studios Producer Kevin Feige elaborated on Downey's comment that set fanboys scrambling to know what on earth they could be adding to the film this late in the game. A setup for Iron Man 3? The Black Widow vs. Buffy fight we never knew we wanted to see?

Apparently, none of the above.

"I will tell you this: It was not a scene. It was not a scene. There's little things. It's been blown out of proportion. Which is fun, I like that things are blown out of proportion. Sometimes they're true, sometimes they're not," he said. "There is the potential that there will be one little change. People might not even notice it. It's not a big thing."

Sadly, it seems the truth is much more mundane than our dreams, and the team was merely making a small tweak that will (allegedly) have no real impact on the finished product.
