Watch 20 awesome minutes of behind-the-scenes Avengers footage

Well, this is awesome. More than 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage has been released from The Avengers, showing everything from epic set pieces to behind-the-scenes jokes (Mark Ruffalo's Hulk impression is pretty awesome, actually). Beware of potential spoilers!

The footage is compiled in a series of clips and shows off tons of scenes, including some great new looks at that epic downtown battle that has been teased to death in the trailers. The green screen stands out, obviously, but it's cool to get some closer looks at what's going on. But green screen or not, the action looks epic.

Virtually the entire cast gets in on the action, and we get some good looks at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, which is even cooler with director Joss Whedon randomly walking the halls.

Sadly, all the clips are dubbed over with Alan Silvestri's score for the film, meaning we do not get to hear any dialogue. So, all you lip readers out there, get to work!

The Avengers doesn't open until May 4, but until then, you can check out the four behind-the-scenes clips below.
