Rumor of the day: Who companion to die (again!) in Season 7?

Why is it that Doctor Who companion Rory Williams, aka Amy Pond's hubby, can't catch a break on the show? The poor guy died so many times on Who that he's become the Kenny of the beloved U.K. sci-fi series. And now comes a rumor that—wait for it — he may die again during season seven.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!

So you guys know that the entire Who cast and crew are currently hard at work on the first episode of the upcoming seventh season of Doctor Who, which features the return of those awesomely scary Weeping Angels.

We also know that Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darville) may be getting a (*gasp*) divorce. (Noooooo!)

Well, a few more gobsmacking details have trickled online, and apparently poor Rory will be sent back in time by those pesky Weeping Angels! So we guess Rory blinked, right? There's also a wild rumor that the Statue of Liberty may be a Weeping Angel, too!

But back to Rory. So the poor guy apparently gets zapped back in time, and he pops up in New York City in the past. Details have also emerged that we'll also see an elderly Rory, similar to what happened in the previous Steven Moffat episode "Blink" (we also saw our first elderly Rory in the sublime Neil Gaiman episode "The Doctor's Wife"), which will create some sort of paradox—though it may not be connected.

Seriously, it's all wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff all over again.

(Poor Rory got all old and wrinkly in "The Doctor's Wife," then he died. Again.)

Now the big possible spoiler here is that there's apparently a funeral scene due to be filmed soon. However, there's NO word on WHOSE funeral it will actually be ... yet.

But since Rory keeps dying on the show, we wouldn't put that past Steven Moffat, now would we? And why break with tradition? Rory's gotta die at least once every season, no?

What do you guys think?
