TV THIS WEEK: Elena vamps out on Vampire Diaries, Fringe and more

Passions flare on The Vampire Diaries as Elena begins to embrace her vampire nature. Meanwhile, Charlie's virtue is at stake on Revolution and Cat gets an offer to exchange info on her mother's murder for Vincent.

Also this week, Scare Tactics premieres with a marathon of new episodes, the makeup artists face one final challenge and the winner is revealed on Face Off, Total Blackout and Viral Video Showdown premiere, Arrow tries to save an innocent man, Vampire Benny calls Dean for help on Supernatural, the Ghost Hunters face Tunnels of Terror on Halloween night, and a big storm provides an opportunity for some of the patients at Briarcliff on American Horror Story.

Face Off (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Immortal Enemies"

Happy Halloween alert! It's the final challenge as the three remaining makeup artists must create Halloween-themed characters who then will perform a choreographed stunt show. The winner will be announced live on Halloween night.


Total Blackout (Syfy) 10:00 p.m. - "Don't Burst Your Bubble Helmet"

Season-two premiere! The lights-out game show tasks contestants with guessing the weight of various creatures and negotiating a maze filled with mousetraps.

Arrow (The CW) 8 p.m. - "An Innocent Man"

Arrow tries to prove an innocent man is being framed for murder, and asks for Laurel's help. Meanwhile, Walter discovers Moira secretly withdrew $2.6 million.

Dean gets a call for help when Benny, his BFF from purgatory, is beat up by vampires. Meanwhile, Sam looks back on his life with Amelia.

Nope, there's no live Ghost Hunters event this year, but there is an original episode that takes the TAPS team into the tunnels under Lockport, N.Y.

Strange storm coincidence alert! Truth and fiction appear to be slamming into each other with the storm Sandy blowing in right before this episode, which focuses on a group of patients who attempt to escape Briarcliff during a violent storm.

Season three winner is announced live! For the first time the audience chooses the winner. In the big finale, the eliminated artists return and the winner is announced.
