1st official look at Elijah Wood's return as Frodo in The Hobbit

It's hard to believe that The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey will hit theaters in less than two months—and it's also hard to believe that almost 10 years have passed since we saw The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in theaters. But what's really amazing is that Elijah Wood, who played our brave Hobbit, Frodo Baggins, has barely changed at all.

Thanks to the Brazilian site Cinemarcado we get our very first look at Wood back as Frodo in director Peter Jackson's new Hobbit trilogy.

These five brand-new official stills are all from the very first film, An Unexpected Journey, and also feature our favorite wizard, Gandalf the Grey (Sir Ian McKellen) and the new hero of this story, a young Bilbo Baggins played by Sherlock's Martin Freeman.

Have a look at the gallery and let us know what you think. Are you guys excited for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to hit theaters on Dec. 14, 2012?
