Zombie wedding crashers eat more than cake in gory REC 3 trailer

Your wedding should be one of the happiest moments of your life. But that logic doesn't apply in the world of the Spanish zombie franchise [Rec]. In the latest trailer for [Rec] 3: Genesis, an unsuspecting bride fights to keep flesh-eating zombies from devouring her family minutes after jumping the broom.

First off, the trailer for [Rec] 3: Genesis contains zero subtitles. But luckily for us, fear is a universal emotion that crosses all language barriers. In [Rec] 3, the story centers on a wedding that takes place miles away from the location of the first two films. The trailer mostly focuses on the bride, who goes from shy newlywed to a chainsaw-wielding badass in a matter of hours. Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Fans of the [Rec] franchise will be happy to know that Genesis is supposed to reveal key information about the first two movies. That's right, all three films are connected. They're like the Saw series except in Spanish and better.

What do you think of the latest trailer for [Rec] 3: Genesis? Does it look better or worse than the last film?

[Rec] 3: Genesis opens March 30.
