Doctor Who hopes you'll excuse his TARDIS in 2 funny Xmas clips

Following yesterday's rather tense prequel mini-episode to Doctor Who's fast-upcoming Chistmas special "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrode," we have two funny new clips to share with you that are much lighter in tone.

Before you go directly to the video: no, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, there is only one embed below, but it DOES feature two clips from the episode.

The first part of the clip finds Droxil (Bill Bailey) and Ven-Garr (Paul Bazely) finding our titular widow, Madge Arwell (Claire Skinner), in Narnia a very snowy forest. Being Doctor Who, hilarity ensues over ... wool. Only in Doctor Who.

The second clip features our good Doctor (Matt Smith) trying to explain to Lily (Holly Earl) why he has a blue police phone box in the attic (aka the Doctor's room). The answer? Why, it's a ''wardrobe'' painted as a police box, of course!

So... is it Christmas yet?
