Does Tom Hardy have what it takes to "Break the Bat"? The actor's aware of the buzz surrounding Bane's most infamous scene, so he's decided to re-enact it for the masses. Check out a photo of Hardy (dressed in costume) as he cracks some serious back!
A behind-the-scenes photo from The Dark Knight Rises has surfaced, and it features Hardy re-enacting a pivotal moment. The actor poses with a crewmember lying across his legs, giving the illusion of paralysis. Hmmm, where have we seen that before? They're illustrating the iconic image from 1993's "The Man Who Broke the Bat" issue of the comics.
We don't know if the scene will be in The Dark Knight Rises, but all signs are pointing to it. The film will be Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale's Batman swan song, and they need to go out with a bang. There have already been hints that the hero could be seriously injured as an exit strategy for Bale.
If the back-breaking scene is in the movie, we doubt Nolan would allow any footage to leak. This is probably a shot of Hardy joking around or, dare we say, "practicing." Either way, it's good to see him pay homage to one of the biggest moments in the character's history.
Do you think Bane will really break Batman's back? Or is this photo just a tease for the fans?
