There's a new trailer apparently on the way for The Avengers ... and someone in France claims to have seen it and has tons to say about it.
Comic Book Movie got a tip from a French source who claims they were invited to "evaluate" a new international 3-D trailer for director Joss Whedon's upcoming Marvel superhero teamup. The lengthy description, however, is in rather garbled English (it was run through Google Translator), and it's so detailed that it's almost hard to believe that everything the source claims to have seen could fit into what is said to be a three-minute-and-15-second trailer.
Nevertheless, some of the highlights include a massive battle with the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) on a bridge, Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) beating up some opponents while dressed in something a "little more intimate," a fight between Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in a forest, and some intense confrontations between villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the rest of the team.
There's also apparently our first look at the alien race that Loki introduces to Earth ("some are green, others blue or purple, and some wear a helmet protecting his face"), scenes of aerial combat involving the Helicarrier and the Quinjet, and finally this bizarre little nugget:
And then we have the best scene in the trailer: Loki in the air smiling on top of a building, there is much noise, and his eyes are following something, and we see a kind of dragon / snake around the city is destroying everything, it's going toward the Avengers who are all together. We see the heroes and frightened, and Hawkye going with the arm in his basket of arrows and discovering that only have one. The scene ends with Captain America shouting "Avengers Assemble!"
As you can see from just that excerpt, there are lots of spelling and grammatical errors in this thing, so we would advise that if you head over toComic Book Movie to read it, take it all with a grain of salt.
But we will say this: If even half the action described in that trailer actually shows up in the movie, The Avengers is going to be one hell of a wild ride!
