Remember that Daredevil reboot? Turns out it's alive and kicking

It's been a while since we've gotten any updates on the Daredevil film that Fox had put into development earlier this year, which is to be directed by 30 Days of Night's David Slade. But the filmmaker took to Twitter to drop fans a quick update.

Back in March, the news broke that Fox and Slade were eyeing Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli's classic "Born Again" storyline for their new film, which would potentially act as a loose sequel to the 2003 Ben Affleck movie (though he probably wouldn't reprise the role). Since then, Slade found a writer he liked—Fringe writer-producer Brad Caleb Kane—who we've just learned has been hard at work on the screenplay.

Kane's been pretty silent about the gig, though he did tweet the following question back in August:

Daredevil + the greatest crime drama in the history of television = very interesting.
