Watch Doctor Who cast members read adorable bedtime stories

There are plenty of reasons to love the various Doctor Who casts, so the fact that people like David Tennant, Christopher Eccleston and Alex Kingston took time out to read to kids for the BBC's version of Nickelodeon is just icing on the cake.

Cbeebies is one of the few free BBC channels, and every night before it signs off at 7 p.m., assorted celebrities come round and read a bedtime story to its young viewers. Below are some of the various Whovians who've taken part. My favorite is Tennant going on about his absent wellies, with John Simms—so familiarly vile as the Master—doing a host of perfect voices for his story.

There are more on YouTube, but here's a sampling.
