1st look at Amazing Spider-Man's Lizard comes from a PEZ dispenser

We've been waiting for more than a year to find out just what Rhys Ifans' The Lizard will look like in The Amazing Spider-Man when it hits theaters next year. Apart from a few glimpses and a tease of his voice, we got nothing until today. Now we have a really good look at the face of Spidey's nemesis ... sort of.

Because no superhero film release would truly be complete without official PEZ tie-ins for the heroes and villains, Marvel has partnered with everyone's favorite dispensable candy company to release Spider-Man and Lizard PEZ dispensers for the flick. The photo you see here was apparently discovered by a fan and given the old fanboy signal boost, and now we're all thinking that this is the true face of the Lizard.

Of course, this is just a small piece of sculpted plastic, so the look should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, it's probably a pretty good indicator of what the final version will look like. The classic lab-coat look of the Lizard is gone, replaced with a piece of torn cloth, but the face seems pretty reminiscent of the comics version of the villain, with a little bit of DC's Killer Croc thrown in.

In any case, we'll have to wait until Marvel caves and gives us a good look at the real deal before we can really tell if it works or not.

What do you think? Would you be satisfied with this villain look in the finished film?
