Michael Bay ALSO says those Transformers rumors are just rumors

It seems to be a day for Transformers rumor-smashing. We've already heard Jason Statham quash rumors that he'll be starring in possible fourth and fifth Transformers flicks, and now director Michael Bay has chimed in to say that, at least for the moment, he's not doing another robot movie.

In a brief post on his official forum, Shoot for the Edit, Bay said that while he is working on a Transformers trilogy box set at the moment, his next film will most likely be something quite different.

"I am currently not talking to Paramount on T4 and T5 despite reports. I'm looking at a lot of possibilities coming my way right now weighing options. Most likely going to be doing the low budget Pain and Gain, a true story crime thriller. It's a very quick shoot and quite funny. Also just finishing the 3 disc set of the Transformer trilogy.

Now, that's not a denial that he'll ever get back in the saddle for more robot fighting madness, but it seems that if there are talks going on right now for these flicks, he's not interested in them. Bad news for some, but good news for people sick of Bay's particular brand of explosion-driven filmmaking.

So if he's not on board, who should Paramount get?
