OMG! 43,000-piece, 8' long, 180 lb LEGO Star Wars Star Destroyer

If you're on the run from the Galactic Empire, now would be the time to head for the hills, because LEGO enthusiast Iomedes has made a Star Destroyer model so massive and detailed that it might just level your house.

The Imperial Venator Class star cruiser was constructed from 43,280 LEGO pieces, weighs 180 pounds and is 8 feet long. It's based on a similar model built by LEGO Master Builder Erik Varszegi a few years back, but while Varszegi's model used screws and glue to help support the structure, Iomedes' work is all LEGO.

Check out the photos and a four-minute video detailing the whole piece. No word on how long it took to put this bad boy together, but we can probably assume the builder hasn't seen sunlight in a while.

All that's left is to outfit this thing with working ion cannons and a tractor beam and Iomedes can rule the galaxy. So, you know, keep an eye on the skies and be prepared to start a rebellion at any moment.
