Forget that lame Australian teaser trailer for The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence. The official U.S. teaser has arrived, and it's already making us queasy.
The Australian teaser played up the fact that The Human Centipede 2 had been banned in Britain and edited for the U.S. (which we're still not sure about) while trumpeting the fact that it was playing uncut Down Under. The odd thing, however, was that the teaser didn't show us a second of footage—just the horrified reactions of a bunch of people supposedly watching the movie.
The new trailer doesn't show a whole lot of footage either (we're guessing it can't without the entire internet freaking out), but we do get something: A glimpse at supremely creepy main character Martin, who is apparently influenced by watching the first movie into starting his own ghastly experiments in stitching people together.
In other words, The Human Centipede 2 is going to get all meta on us, while simultaneously amping up the gore and general grossness. There is a quick shot in the trailer of Martin covered in blood, and also some interaction with his mother, just to make things even more unsettling.
Take a look yourself and decide: Is The Human Centipede 2 the next level of horror or a complete wallow in trash? We'll know for sure when the movie premieres at Austin's Fantastic Fest on Sept. 22 and arrives in theaters and on demand on Oct. 7. Have your barf bags ready!
