Found: Video of some lucky kid's '80s picnic with Luke Skywalker

For one trippy day in 1979, this 8-year-old British boy was the luckiest child in the world. As a national contest winner, little Daniel lunched with Luke on the Dagobah set and learned Chewbacca likes to snack on little girls. Far out!

The grand prize was part of an old wish-granting television show called Jim'll Fix It. The cult-classic program ran on BBC from 1975 to 1994. Children would write to host Jimmy Savile, asking him to make a certain dream come true for them on national television. Apparently Daniel's desire was to visit the Empire Strikes Back production at Elstree Studios in London.

After this creepy encounter with his Star Wars heroes, either Daniel grew up to be a master FX wizard in Hollywood or he was housed in a rubber room, undergoing a rigorous routine of hypnotherapy. What begins as a harmless and innocent moment with Luke and a special preview from the upcoming sequel then wanders into further strangeness during an interview with Jim where Chewie reveals the specific nature of his true appetites. Ah, the swingin' 70's were never better.

Check out the footage, and have pity on the scarred British lad.

What would your Star Wars wish have been?
