13 insane foreign movie posters for sci-fi favorites

So you know how when films play overseas and, sometimes, studios redesign the movie posters to appeal to the people of the region? Occasionally, that process goes horribly, hilariously, wonderfully awry.

I'm really not sure which is my favorite: The French Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai poster that make it look like a cross between The Road Warrior and a bondage flick, the Franco-Russian King Kong poster that introduces a random giant shark into the action, the Polish Planet of the Apes one-sheet with a statue inexplicably crawling through a pimple on a monkey's face, or Mexico's unfortunate translation of the word "I" on I, Robot.

It's so hard to pick just one!
